According to the latest data from Nielsen, pumpkin flavored products saw a sizable increase in sales over the last 52 weeks and are already seeing a sales spike in advance of autumn. 

Pumpkin products reached sales of $488.7 million in the latest 52 weeks ending Aug. 18, which is up 15.5 percent from a year ago. In the latest week, sales reached $5.6 million, up 7.7 percent.

Nielsen's data shows 446 food products found in the traditional grocery market that feature Pumpkin Spice on the pack as a flavor claim, including 15 products in the cereal category alone. Of those 446 products, 155 tout a seasonal, limited edition claim.
