Online grocery leader Peapod is extending its meal kit line with new dishes inspired by restaurant cuisine.
Chicago-based Peapod has partnered with Chicago restaurants Big Bowl and Wildfire, both members of the Lettuce Entertain You restaurant group, on three new dishes. Peapod first started offering meal kits in 2014.
The new kits, which will be available for customers in Chicago, New York and Washington, D.C., are available in servings of two and four and include:
- Wildfire® Beef Tenderloin with Couscous
- Wildfire® BBQ Bison Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes and Caramelized Onions
- Big Bowl® Sweet and Sour Chicken
"As the demand for meal kits continues to increase, we are thrilled to collaborate with restaurants like Wildfire and Big Bowl," says Spencer Baird, senior vice president of merchandising for Peapod. "It was a natural progression to work with trusted and popular restaurants based right here in Peapod's hometown of Chicago, and we are excited for our customers to be able to make these delicious recipes right at home."
