Food packaging specialist Inline Plastics Corp. celebrated its 50th anniversary with a celebration April 17.

Mark Lauretti, the mayor of Shelton, Connecticut, Inline’s hometown, was among the guest speakers at the event, held at the company’s corporate headquarters on Canal Street.

"Inline Plastics is a corporate leader in its industry,” Lauretti said at the event. “They are also a leader in our community and the city is truly fortunate that they have made their home base in Shelton for 34 years.”

Tom Orkisz, Inline’s president and owner, said at the event that Inline, which has been owned by the Orkisz family since its founding, is one of the few privately held companies in its industry.

"The stability of our senior leadership team, our deep and long-lasting relationships with customers, and our reliability and innovation, coupled with a commitment to quality and product leadership, are the cornerstones of our longevity and our future success,” he said.
