C-store leader 7-Eleven has added tater tots to its lineup of hot prepared foods.

Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven will market its tots as another item that goes well with the chain’s condiment and toppings bar. Like 7-Eleven’s nachos and hot dogs, the new tots can be topped with chili sauce, melted cheese, pico de gallo, diced onions, sliced jalapenos, green relish, pickles and other toppings.

The tots are being sold at a suggested $1 for 10 or $2 for 25.

“Tots are hot,” says Robin Murphy, 7?Eleven’s director of fresh food. “They’re served up on appetizer menus at trendy bars and restaurants. You can even find tots and topping bars at weddings. 7?Eleven has its own version of a tot bar for customers to create their own favorite tasty tot concoction. We encourage culinary creativity.”
