Specialty cheese maker Roth Cheese won several awards at the World Championship Cheese Contest.

Roth’s winning entries were selected from more than 3,400 from 26 countries. The contest was held March 6-8 in Madison, Wisconsin.

Fitchburg, Wisconsin-based Roth’s winners included:

• Open Class: Pepper Flavored Cheeses, first place: Roth Chipotle Havarti;
• Second place: Grand Cru Reserve Alpine-style;
• Second place: Roth Pavino; and
• Latin American Style Hard Cheeses, third place: Roth GranQueso.
