Grocery store deli chicken salad tainted with salmonella has made 115 people sick in Iowa.

The chicken salad, sold at Fareway grocery stores in the state, was recalled from shelves Feb. 9, according to a story in the Des Moines Register. As of Feb. 20, 38 Iowans had confirmed cases of salmonella poisoning, and another 78 probably had it, according to the story. Illnesses have also been reported in neighboring states.

The chicken salad was prepared by Triple T Specialty Meats in Ackley, Iowa, according to the story. The plant is under investigation.

The outbreak was discovered after the Iowa Department of Public Health noticed a spike in salmonella cases, according to the story. Patients were interviewed about what they’d eaten, and chicken salad purchased at Fareway stores emerged as the culprit.

Boone, Iowa-based Fareway has 118 stores in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota.
