The newest Sam’s Club in Pennsylvania will open its doors Thursday, Sept. 14, in Hanover. Located in the Gateway Hanover Shopping Center, the Hanover club will be one of the first locations in the northeast to offer the fresh new look and feel of Sam’s Club.

The store’s café offers self-order kiosks, expanded seating with charging stations and an updated menu that includes premium coffee, made-to-order sandwiches and smoothies.

Other new features in perimeter departments include a fresh island that offers organic and grass-fed beef, an expanded seafood section and fresh sushi made daily. The focus on fresh carries throughout the dairy and produce departments with large walk-in coolers designed to keep products as fresh as possible.

Members of the Hanover club can utilize the company’s award-winning smartphone app called Scan & Go, which allows users the option of scanning their items while they shop and simply paying on their phone. The Hanover club will also offer the drive-thru convenience of Club Pickup, a service for members who prefer to place an online order and pick their merchandise up at a scheduled time.

Sam’s Club is also proud to support small business owners through the company’s Road Show program. This consignment-based program provides local, regional, and national entrepreneurs the chance to set up shop inside Sam’s Club while providing members access to exciting and one-of-a-kind products.

Hanover’s grand opening will feature several local products such as Kunzler Meats’ hot dogs and bacon. Members will enjoy samples of Snyder’s of Hanover pretzels, UTZ potato chips and Chef Shamy Gourmet Butters. Entrepreneurs interested in participating in future Road Shows should contact their local Sam’s Club manager for more details.

Sam’s Club, a division of Wal-Mart Stores, has more than 650 clubs in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
