Southeastern grocers removed the interim tag from president and CEO Anthony Hucker. The parent company of Winn-Dixie, Frescy Y Mas and other grocery chains announced on Thursday that the position belongs to Hucker, effective immediately.

Hucker became interim head of the company on July 1, when Ian McLeod departed. He has been with Southeastern since early 2016 and has also been president and COO of Schnucks, president of Giant Food and head of Walmart's strategy and business development division. Hucker was also part of the original start-up team with Aldi UK.

Southeastern Grocers has more than 700 stores and 50,000 employees in seven states across the Southeast.
