Convenience store chain Casey’s General Stores Inc., known for its pizza and other prepared foods, has opened its 2000th store.

Ankeny, Iowa-based Casey’s opened the 4,600-square-foot store in Russellville, Kentucky, on Nov. 30. It will feature Casey’s made-from-scratch pizza, a fresh sub sandwich station, numerous baked goods and other ready-to-eat foods.

“Reaching this milestone is a testament to the company’s consistent story of growth over time, and we look forward to expanding the Casey’s brand into the future,” says Terry Handley, Casey’s president and CEO.

Casey’s, the fourth largest c-store chain and fifth-largest pizza chain in the U.S., has stores in 15 states.
